Tiger Water Life

The Story of the Stripes

Conservation of wildlife serves several purposes, from protecting our biological diversities to maintaining our cultural ethos. However, with increasing globalization and modernization, the number of wild animals, especially tigers, has significantly reduced. Over the previous era, the world has already lost 97% of its tigers. Numerous human activities like logging, poaching, etc., push tigers to near extinction.

Today, a major issue that needs to be addressed is the protection of tigers and their well-being. Innumerable preservation efforts are being undertaken by the Indian government and the corporates. Key Management Group Inc., for years, has been striving to maintain the well-being of tigers.

KMG, in collaboration with Save-the-Tiger project, has initiated Tiger Water Life (TWL) program as a part of their CSR strategy. This social media group concentrates on aiding tigers by installing solar water pumps. The primary intention of this initiative is to supply sufficient water to tigers and other wildlife animals by installing solar water pumps in the Central part of India. Save-the-Tiger Project has installed 20 solar water pumps with donations from its members. This group had planned to set up a solar water pump in the Tipeshwar area that faces water scarcity, forcing the tigers to leave their cubs alone unprotected from the frequent Hyena visitors. But they were not able to do so due to fund deficiency. Therefore, KMG immediately contributed the required funds to set up a solar pump in that area through this initiative. A few days later, a tigress with her cubs was seen near our solar water pump. The RFO was highly grateful for the step we had taken.

This program ensured a constant supply of water for tigers and other wild animals coming to the water point. It helped tigers to quench their thirst even in the scorching summers.
